The Visionaries

Emerging from the Los Angeles underground, Visionaries members: LMNO, 2Mex (OMD), Writer's Block (Zen and Dannu), KeyKool, and DJ Rhettmatic (Beat Junkies), come from an assortment of cultural backgrounds and life experiences, truly representing the dynamic essence of hip-hop by teaching the values of love, truth and humanity through music.

Developing their stage presence performing alongside now legendary L.A. associates Dilated Peoples, Jurassic 5, and the Beat Junkies, the Visionaries gained a reputation for a powerful live show, characterized with insanely-energetic crowds and volcanic mosh-pits. Performing extensively, the group gathered momentum releasing successful 12-inch singles, leading to the acclaimed Visionaries debut album, Galleries(UP ABOVE). Continuing to plant seeds with a grassroots campaign, these L.A. hometown heroes toured Japan and various North American cities accumulating a mounting legion of fans worldwide.

With the release of their second album, Sophomore Jinx(UP ABOVE), the elevated exposure was evident as the Visionaries began to rock large concert venues, opening for notable artists such as: Nas, Linkin Park, Wu-Tang Clan, Redman & Method Man, Mos Def, Busta Rhymes, Common, De La Soul, as well as touring with Xzibit and Jurassic 5. 2004's Pangaea(UP ABOVE) quickly catapulted the group to an even higher level of acclaim, receiving a out of 5star rating from indie-music taste-makers URB magazine, who stated; merely damn-good tracks are the exception, with f*cking great being the norm.

The Visionaries music has been featured on the Warner Brothersbox-office hit Oceans Twelve, the MTV feature film Volcano High, and one of Midway's best-selling video games of 2005, NFL Blitz. With a sharpened focus and revitalized approach, this L.A. based group now brings forth their most potent work to date.
